I am a Registered Social Worker, psychotherapist, and EMDR-trained clinician providing compassionate, evidence-informed therapy to adults, young people, and children impacted by trauma and chronic or acute stress.
People come to therapy for many reasons. You may be navigating a life transition, experiences of violence, relationship difficulties, workplace stress or burnout, grief and loss, or the effects of generational trauma. You may also be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or simply feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or disconnected.
My approach is integrative, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in safety, cultural awareness, and respect for diverse lived experiences. I draw from cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused therapies, along with approaches that attend to emotion and the body, with attention to the whole person. I recognize that your experiences, strengths, personality, and ways of coping are unique to you. Together, we can find an approach that makes sense for who you are and what you are experiencing.
Drawing on more than 25 years of professional experience and a Master’s degree in Psychological Science, I bring focused knowledge of traumatic stress, gender-based violence, child welfare, and psychological health in the workplace. I am committed to inclusive and equitable mental health care and offer in-person and secure virtual counselling. I also travel as needed and support services in rural, northern, and First Nations communities.
When I’m not working, I feel most at home in nature. I’m drawn to its restorative qualities and to the body’s capacity for healing and resilience. I enjoy travelling, learning, and new experiences.
